JEFF MUYRES, ACC, CACLC, CPT

I am an ICF Accredited Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a Certified Advanced Christian Life Coach by the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC)’s Board of Christian Life Coaching (BCLC). I graduated from Coach Training EDU’s International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified program specializing in Health and Wellness. I work with teens, college students, and adults helping them excel in the areas of Sports Performance, Health and Wellness, Leadership, Personal Growth, Self-Confidence, Life Transitions, Stress Management, Young Adult and Men’s Issues, and Christian Life Coaching. I am also an NFPT Certified Personal Trainer and am currently in the process of becoming a Certified Sports Psychology Coach (CSPC) According to the Spencer Institute, performance challenges that many athletes or fitness enthusiasts experience are not always the result of poor conditioning and improper coaching, or technical ability. Sport psychology coaches can further increase athletic performance by coaching athletes, players, and clients to better manage emotions while understanding the psychological effects on performance and instilling the mental skills needed to attain peak performance.
As a former college football and track athlete at Wake Forest University, Captain of my football team, Youth football and basketball coach and College Ministry leader, leadership, coaching and fitness have played an integral part of my life. I am here to encourage and empower you, as I help you find clarity, motivation, purpose and grit. I understand life can be challenging and have its many setbacks. By identifying your natural strengths and abilities, as well as areas of needed growth, we will set goals and objectives for you to reach your highest potential, satisfaction and success in all aspects of your life. My experience has allowed me to train and excel in many different disciplines of exercise, from coaching aspiring athletes, assisting clients with weight loss, or helping seniors with flexibility and balance. I believe exercise, getting adequate sleep and developing good eating habits are essential for healthy living and achieving a meaningful and productive life, the way God created us to live and become.
I am passionate about family. I love my wife of 22 years and am actively involved in my sons’ High School football and nationally competitive XC Mountain biking pursuits, as well as ensuring they excel in their academic and personal lives. I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing, golfing, traveling, and watching College Football.
I look forward to working with you as a life coach and can offer personal training as well. I am also certified to offer premarital coaching through Prepare-Enrich and SYMBIS. It is my belief, as Zig Ziglar once said, that “difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. The best is yet to come.”
