As mothers, are you carrying the weight of your marriage and family on your shoulders?  Evening is a time of quiet when we can lay out all our burdens before the lord. He is not afraid of our emotions – when we feel lonely, hurt, inadequate, worried, discouraged, afraid or rejected. I have felt all of these. And I am so comforted that the God of the Universe loves me and opens his arms wide to hear my prayers and comfort me. Moms, will you pray with me?

Trust in His Bigger Plan

But we can always come to him. He understands our pain. And he meets us there. His ways are not our ways. And he has a bigger plan. He can be trusted. Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and Lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

It’s the Holidays and are you finding it challenging to find peace, hope and joy in the midst of wounding, sorrow and betrayal. Here I share some thoughts that God has put on my heart. I hope they may encourage you as well!

Grief During the Holidays

I know this time of year can sometimes bring a lot of intense emotions of sadness and grief. We think about those that we miss…those that have passed away… that are not with us… and their presence leaves us with this void. May God may bring you some joy and hope even in the midst of sorrow.
