COURTNEY BRISCOE, LPC

I am an empathetic, creative, compassionate, and caring therapist who loves working with individuals from all walks of life. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Young Harris College in 2016 and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Truett McConnell University in 2022.  I specifically enjoy incorporating art, music, and play into counseling, as I believe these creative outlets are therapeutic and bring about healing in a joyful, light-hearted manner.  I am passionate about helping children (ages 5+), adolescents, teenagers, and adults navigate challenging or unforeseen circumstances in their lives.  I work with clients through anxiety, self-esteem, depression, anger, grief, loss, life transitions, and ADHD. I am currently working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) under the clinical supervision of Rebecca Muyres, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S, CCTP.  I also offer Christian counseling for those who are interested in incorporating their faith.

I have been married to my college sweetheart for almost seven years. We love football, hosting friends and family in our home, and playing with our two cats. When I am not counseling, I enjoy traveling, singing, dancing, visiting local restaurants and coffee shops, and hanging out with friends. I would not be where I am today if it were not for my faith and my family history. As a young girl, my father suddenly passed away. That experience, combined with many steps along the way, brought me to my current passion for serving children and teens from a wide range of backgrounds, circumstances, and difficulties. It is my joy to work alongside families and their children as we work together toward healing.
