COURTNEY BRISCOE, LPC
I am an empathetic, creative, and compassionate therapist who is passionate about helping individuals from all walks of life find healing and hope. My approach to counseling is warm, engaging, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I specifically enjoy incorporating art, crafts, music, and play into therapy, as I believe these creative outlets are deeply therapeutic and bring about healing in a joyful, light-hearted manner.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Young Harris College in 2016 and my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Truett McConnell University in 2022. I am currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) under the clinical supervision of Rebecca Muyres, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S, CCTP, CATP.
I specialize in working with children (ages 5+), adolescents, teens, and adults who are navigating a variety of challenges, including:
- Anxiety & depression
- Self-esteem struggles
- Anger management
- Grief & loss
- Life transitions
- ADHD
For those interested, I also offer Christian counseling, integrating faith into the therapeutic process in a way that aligns with each client’s personal beliefs and values.
My passion for working with children and teens stems from my own life experiences. As a young girl, I lost my father suddenly, and that profound loss shaped my understanding of grief, resilience, and healing. That experience, along with many steps along my journey, has fueled my heart for supporting young people as they navigate life's uncertainties. It is my joy to walk alongside children, teens, and families as we work together toward healing, growth, and emotional well-being.
Outside of counseling, I have been happily married to my college sweetheart for nearly seven years. We love football, hosting friends and family, and spending time with our two cats. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, singing, dancing, exploring local restaurants and coffee shops, and spending quality time with friends.
You are not alone. No matter what challenges you are facing, I am here to provide a safe, supportive space where you can heal, grow, and thrive.
