HANNAH PALMER, APC, NCC

I am a warm, caring, and empathetic therapist passionate about working with children, teens, and families from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and supportive space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves as they navigate life’s challenges.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology: Christian Counseling with a minor in Marriage and Family Studies from Liberty University in 2021 and completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2024. My background in preschool teaching and ministry work has deeply influenced my passion for supporting children and families through counseling.

As an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I am under the clinical supervision of Rebecca Muyres, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S, CCPT, CATP, and I am actively working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT).

I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including:

  • Play Therapy & Sand Tray Therapy
  • Art Therapy Techniques
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Faith-Based Counseling

I am particularly passionate about helping children and adolescents struggling with:

  • Behavioral concerns
  • Anxiety & depression
  • Self-esteem challenges
  • Anger & grief
  • Life transitions
  • Peer & sibling conflict
  • School challenges & ADHD

I believe in meeting each client where they are, providing a space where they feel valued, understood, and empowered to grow. Through play and creative expression, children can process emotions, build coping skills, and find healing in a way that feels natural to them.

On a personal note, I have been happily married for two and a half years, and my husband and I share our home with Denver, our lovable Bernese Mountain Dog, who enjoys playing fetch, chewing bones, and giving lots of slobbery kisses. We love spending time with family and friends, swimming, hiking, and traveling to the mountains.

My faith and family have profoundly shaped who I am as both a therapist and a person, and I am honored to walk alongside my clients on their journey toward healing and restoration.
