I am a welcoming, down-to-earth, and compassionate therapist who enjoys working with children (4+), adolescents, and young adults struggling with mental health and general life issues. My goal is to help you or your loved one to reach their fullest potential. With each individual, I strive to provide an inviting, calm, and trusting environment to encourage positive change and growth. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University (War Eagle!). I am currently working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist under the clinical supervision of Rebecca Muyres, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S, CCTP. I specialize in depression, anxiety, bipolar, grief/loss, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, self-esteem, stress management, anger management, behavioral issues/ADHD, school-related issues, and children of divorce. In addition, extensive experience working in crisis stabilization through previous work within a mental health hospital system. Through a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Play Therapy, I am able to assess what approach and therapeutic intervention is best for each individual and situation. My purpose is to help each client, find the tools within themselves to improve their overall wellbeing and happiness. Along the way being their advocate and source of support on their therapeutic journey and adventure.
